Studio Exercise – Abstraction

1.Find an image of a famous painting that you feel has a dynamic composition

2. Place the image into Illustrator

3. Create a new layer to work on and lock the layer with the image

4. Determine the major shapes of the image and recreate the entire thing using only squares and rectangles and three colors (not including black and white)

5. Export the finished file as a .jpg

6. Upload your finished .jpg to your digication portfolio
