My friend and collaborator, Robb Fladry, and I will be performing a vj set at Studio 1403 in Nashville on May 30th. The headliner is a very well known house DJ from Chicago, Justin Long.

I’m not sure exactly what to say about the work of the Light Surgeons, except that it is everything that live a/v performance should be. This medium basically started as decorative additions to electronic dance music, a side note. This piece has transcended VJing and has become something else entirely. It is more than music, more than film, more than MTV. You can see the emergence of a distinct medium in their work.
Ben Stokes is rather amazing
Ben Stokes created the visuals for DJ Shadows 2006 world tour. I get goose bumps every time I see a photo from one of the shows. Good lord it looks incredible!
